  6. Congratulations  and  welcome to a collection of programs we call 
  7. HALSCRIB,  the world's finest PC cribbage programs (at least we'd 
  8. like to think so).
  9.  
  10. If you like playing cards and Cribbage in particular, you will be 
  11. entertained for hours.   You are about to experience,  enjoy, and 
  12. admire  vivid graphics,  interesting statistics, and a crafty but 
  13. fair opponent, "HAL".  (Any resemblance to "HAL"'s name and style 
  14. of play to mine is not coincidental).
  15.  
  16. Watch your game improve by observing the techniques of play  that 
  17. "HAL" uses in expert mode.  Compare your scores and statistics to 
  18. your  friends'  who have used your copy of  HALSCRIB.   Construct 
  19. challenging  card holdings and explore HAL's responses  depending 
  20. on the score status.   Play pre-determined deals and compare your 
  21. results to your friends.  Obtain the latest full-featured version 
  22. of  HALSCRIB  by  becoming a registered  supporter.   If you  are 
  23. not  yet a registered supporter of HALSCRIB,  simply fill out the 
  24. following registration form,  enclose your contribution,  and you 
  25. will shortly enjoy all these features and more!  (A $24 US or $29 
  26. Cdn  contribution,  check or money-order,  will  be  appreciated.

  30. to  the laws of copyright.  HALSCRIB (not copy-protected) may  be 
  31. copied  by registered supporters strictly for their own  personal 
  32. use.   Anyone  has permission  to copy and distribute  the  file, 
  33. TRY_CRIB.ARC, provided that
  34.  
  35.      1.   no fees are charged (non-profit user groups may 
  36.           obtain an exemption to cover cost-based fees by 
  37.           written and signed permission from the author)

  39.      2.   no files stored in TRY_CRIB.ARC are modified
  40.  
  41.      3.   TRY_CRIB.ARC is not distributed as part of or 
  42.           with any other product or service, or as part
